The practice of burning hell notes is believed to provide for loved ones in the afterlife. During festivals that honour the dead, the living pay the price by suffering from irresponsible burning practices and littering, leading to the centuries old tradition experiencing a decline in popularity.
We reimagined the traditional hell note by creating a joss paper innovation the produces less smoke and ash, offering a modern alternative while maintaining respect for traditional practices. Each note was assigned the largest possible denomination in the Chinese language, effectively replacing the usual heap of cash.
Now, we can finally honour the dead without inconveniencing the living.
